International Foundation Group launches in Ghana
We are happy to report the official launch of IFG Ghana was held on 18th August 2025 at the British Council, Accra. Over 70 influential stakeholders, including government official, education leaders and agents attended the event, which was organised by Mr. Sammy Crabbe, CEO of IFG Ghana. Guest speakers included Prof. Mohammed Al-Ansari (Executive Director, IFG Head Office, London), Mr. Nii Doodo Doodo (British Council Country Director), Mr. Tamir Ismail (UK DBT) and Mrs. Jo Ann Sackey (UK DBT).
Delegates were told how students are now able to study for an International Foundation Group (IFG) Foundation or pre-masters programme at several locations across Accra before progression to undergraduate or postgraduate degree in the UK. They also learnt about the role of Transnational Education (TNE) in skills development, the value of public-private partnerships, student scholarships and the potential of Ghana as a regional education hub.
The event was a great success and positions IFG Ghana as a credible international educational partner who can address the local skills gap and promote youth mobility to students in Ghana.
The establishment of IFG Ghana also demonstrates our commitment to TNE and our continued mission to bring pre-university pathway programmes to students in their own country. Full details of IFG programmes offered  at IFG Ghana can be found at IFG Programmes in Accra, Ghana
