Below are short profiles of some of our teachers.


Michael Addison MA

Academic Director

Michael was one of the founders of IFG  with the primary vision of widening participation and increasing choice for international students.


He has degrees from Bristol and Sussex universities and many years experience developing and running independent colleges in London, work which he has combined with teaching of History and Political Science and participation in many international business conferences. He also acts as a consultant in the field of international education.


At IFG he oversees course development and review as well as all aspects of teaching and learning in London and other IFG centres. He has a wide knowledge of higher education in the UK and ensures that all our students gain individual help in choosing and applying to courses and universities.

Fiona Mee

Fiona Mee MSc

Academic Director – York Campus

Fiona was the founder of her own education and training business in Brazil where she worked for 15 years supporting the development of students, teams and executives. She has taught at universities in Brazil and Germany. For the past 10 years, she was a director of an international training provider focusing on cross-cultural communication and business skills for apprentices and international professionals.


She has Masters degree level qualifications from the University of Glasgow and the Institute of Leadership and Management, she is a qualified teacher of English as a Foreign Language and she is currently Involved in research in the field of Global Marketing. She regularly participates in international and UK conferences. She also acts as a consultant in the field of international education and training business development and she is an author.


At IFG she is managing all aspects of teaching and learning in York. She has a wide knowledge of higher education in the UK and will ensure that all our students gain individual help in choosing and applying to courses and universities.

Dr. Yusri Farrah

Dr. Yusri Farrah

Head of International Projects in MENA

Yusri has many years’ experience in teaching and education management with a Masters from University College, London in Education Leadership. He is responsible for developing and coordinating IFG’s collaborative projects.


He plays a key role in our internationalization strategy, leading and progressing new partnerships which contribute to IFG’s ambitious objectives in relation to partnerships and student mobility in the Middle East and North Africa.


IFG strategy is focused on building further international branch campuses and Yusri contributes to this by developing effective strategic partnerships in the region. He has very rich experience of policy and stakeholder engagement, as well as an outstanding knowledge of global education, especially in the context of the MENA.


Dr. Bruce Duncan

Director of Studies

Bruce is an Emeritus Professor and has vast experience as a teacher and lecturer in English and business related topics. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants and also of the International Association of Teachers of English as a. Foreign Language.


His recent appointments include Director of Studies at Albion College in London and lecturer at the French university, INSEEC. In addition to his full time posts, he also participates in management seminars throughout the world. Over. The last couple of years, he has lectured in London, Lausanne, Dubai, Abuja, Accra, and Belize and is also a prolific writer of academic papers.


His dynamic style of teaching and depth of knowledge make him a vital member of the GEEC team.


Lillian Dekic

IELTS & EFL Teacher

Lillian has been teaching English for many years and is a subject specialist in tutoring English as a foreign language, delivering GCSE English and preparing international students for IELTS.


She combines her teaching expertise and language study methods to deliver inspiring, engaging and effective lessons. Her enthusiasm towards learning and success are evident in students’ achievements and progression paths.


Lillian extends her commitment to promoting the English language and literature in her role as a poetry ambassador, which has seen her perform poetry recitals in London.


Manoharan Dilukshan MSc MBCS MCMI MIC

Teacher of Accounting and Finance

Dilukshan started his career with KPMG and specialised in Assurance and financial Risk Management. He has experience in industries such as Retail, Telecommunication, Technology, Education and Hospitality. He specialised in Financial Reporting, Management Accounting and Tax planning.


He has an MSc in International Financial Management from University of Surrey and over ten years experience of teaching Accounting. He is also a corporate trainer for many prominent organisations and is a member of the Institute of Consulting and Chartered Management.


Currently he combines his teaching with running his own consulting company which is recognised by the Institute of Consulting.


Dr. Yvette Gresle

Teacher of English

Yvette Greslé is an EFL teacher based in London. She holds a Trinity CertTESOL qualification from The London School of English and a PhD (History of Art) from University College London. Alongside teaching English she publishes as an art historian. She is also an editor and writer working across fiction and non-fiction.


Yvette’s PhD dissertation (History of Art, University College London, 2015) explored Contemporary South African Video art, Historical Events, Trauma and Memory.


At present, Yvette is a Post Doctoral Fellow (Global Excellence Stature Fellowship) at the University of Johannesburg; The Research Centre, Visual Identities in Art and Design (VIAD), Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture.

Carolyn Kindberg MSc

Teacher of Mathematics and Physics

Carolyn has a first degree from Warwick and an MSc in Microelectronics and has many years of experience in teaching Maths and Physics at pre-university and degree level.


She  is very skilful in helping students to achieve their potential, bringing the best out of students of all abilities, and has an outstanding record of helping students to achieve high grades and progress to top universities. She is a member of the Institute of Physics and also of the National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Maths.

Dr. Omid Mazdak

Teacher of Economics

Omid has degrees from UCL and SOAS and is currently a Senior Teaching Fellow at SOAS, University of London specialising in Econometrics and Quantitative Methods in Economics.


He believes strongly that the study of Economics should be related to the real world rather than being too focused on theories and concepts and, in this way, he makes the subject more easily understood and enjoyable.


Shadrach Iornem MBA

Teacher of Business and Study Skills

Shadrach is a certified management consultant. He specializes in organizational development and learning for professional people and their organizations. For over seven years, he has provided guidance and  advice in all aspects of organization development, from strategy formulation to change management in order to help organizations get the best from their employees.


At IFG, Shadrach teaches individuals and small groups of students, the requisite skills required for university studies such as ensuring consistency in referencing, citing credible sources, paraphrasing and tips on what examiners look out for in a student’s dissertation.


Shadrach is currently completing his PhD at Cardiff Metropolitan University. His research interest focuses on human resources, organisational behaviour and management studies.


Heather Page

Teacher of English

Heather has been teaching English and Study Skills for many years.  She specialises in preparing students for IELTS and Trinity. Exams and has been an  IELTS examiner since 2005. She  therefore has an insiders knowledge of how best to achieve good results.


She has taught at different institutions including the University of East Anglia and Eurocentres.


She combines her teaching with her professional acting career. She trained at the prestigious Central School of Speech and Drama and has appeared in  countless  films, TV dramas and the theatre.


Heather has a degree in European Studies and is a qualified counsellor.


Michael Parris BA, PGCE

Teacher of Business

Michael is a qualified teacher of Business and Economics at GCSE, A, Level and Foundation. His enthusiastic, friendly and committed style of teaching has resulted in an outstanding record of success in helping students to achieve high grades and progress to high ranking universities.


Charles Vincent MA

Teacher of Politics and Communications

Charles graduated with a masters degree from Edinburgh University and then studied his MPhil at Oxford University. In a varied career, he has taught Communications and Politics at colleges and universities in the UK as well as working for the BBC as a script developer. His innovative style of teaching and his understanding of the demands of international students make him a crucial member of the GEEC team.
