Many international students who have an undergraduate (bachelor) degree from their own country will still need to take a pre-masters course before they are accepted onto a taught postgraduate (masters) degree in the UK.
This is because UK universities have specific English language requirements (usually IELTS 6.5 or higher). Plus they require good grades at the undergraduate level, with most high-ranked universities asking for the equivalent of an Upper Second-Class Honours degree (2:1) or higher, which is 60% and above. Or maybe you simply want to a change of direction and study a subject that is unrelated to your first degree.
